The news seems to report a new lawsuit over artificial intelligence every week. Most involve authors, artists, and musicians suing over copyright. Join copyright expert Kevin Smith to discuss these developments and how the law and AI may interact in the future. If you are an artist trying to understand the current marketplace for your work, or just someone interested in AI and the law, this is a discussion you will want to be part of.
Kevin Smith has spent his career at the intersection of copyright and creativity. Smith is both a librarian and a lawyer, having served as a professor, administrator, and legal advisor at Duke University, the University of Kansas, and Colby College. He is the author of two books and numerous articles on these topics and has been an invited speaker around the U.S and abroad. He lives in North Yarmouth.
