Summer Reading Kickoff!
It's time to kick off our Summer Reading program! Gather with us on the back lawn of PML. We'll have face painting, lawn games, ice cream from Toots, and a pop-up kids and teen book sale with the Friends of Prince Memorial Library. Kids get reading raffle tickets and a lanyard to hold them in, and a free book when they sign up for Summer Reading.
We'll also have live music! The irresistible Ragtime Destroyers bring fun and danceable New Orleans-inspired jazz music from the 20's and 30's to the streets of Portland and beyond! Melodic trumpet, growling trombone and swooping clarinet are backed up by the rattle of washboard and banjo. Sometimes silly but always swinging, the Ragtime Destroyers play jazz music for the feet and jug band music with a pedigree!
